Ventilation of containers
If a container contains concentrations of gases and/or vapours above the statutory limits, the container requires ventilation. The ventilation method depends on several factors such as: which gas/vapour, measured concentrations, loading method, loading level, etc.
EWS will suggest a ventilation model on the basis of experience that will be mentioned in the measurement report.
If, for whatever reason, ventilating your container is not an option, EWS has the facilities to unload your goods fast, safely and professionally. This is done with or without the help of respiratory protection. This method also offers you fast access to your goods!
Opening doors so a natural mix of open air occurs in the container. Is applied in a number of specific gases and vapours, for instance CO, CO2, and O2.
Advantages:
– Efficient
Disadvantages:
– Not very effective in case of product evaporation
– Chance of damaging product if the weather changes
– Chance of theft
– Cannot be applied everywhere
Creating underpressure in the container where fresh air is sucked in via, among others, air vents
Advantages:
– A large amount of air is transported in a relatively short time
– Safe
– Original seal must be broken
Disadvantages:
– Doors of the container must be opened
– Original seal must be broken
By using ventilators and creating transport of air in the container.
Advantages:
– A large amount of air is transported in a relatively short time
– Safe
– No emission, due to the use of carbon filters
Disadvantages:
– Cost increasing
ntroducing a large amount of air in the container
Advantages:
– A large amount of air is transported in a relatively short time
– Safe
Disadvantages:
– If the container is fully loaded with boxes, this is not very effective
– Doors of the container must be opened
– Original seal must be broken
Creating underpressure in the container where fresh air is sucked in via air vents
Advantages:
– Doors of the container do not need to be opened
– Safe
– Original seal remains intact
Disadvantages:
– Not always effective in view of the limited air capacity
